Oh, Dad

if I were in North Carolina today there would have been some great, yet simple things done to celebrate Father’s Day. all things I love to do with Dad. all things we all love to do with Dad so I’m pretty sure they all happened.

brunch at the Club.
a little golf cart ride to check out new projects.
flip between baseball and golf.
eat chips & krissalsa for dinner.

this man loves us all really, really well. not just our-family “us” but everyone-he meets-and-knows “us”. he is such a strong and meek leader in his job, in the town, in our family. I am so thankful he is my dad!

buena vista

I made my first trip to Buena Vista on my days off this week. It was so good to go there and see folks from Raleigh that are working there this summer. AND Erika came in town for the weekend to play!

It was a relaxing couple days off as I got to spend a lot of time with M and hear about her summer working in the Frontier Ranch kitchen. Sometimes its good to be with people that have known me a long time and people that know the same people. Its a taste of home for me to be able to say someone’s name and not have to explain who they are. I was thankful for that on these days off.

E has been such a great friend to me this year. This was her SECOND time visiting the great state of Colorado since I moved here. I feel so blessed that she would keep coming back to spend quality time together.

“That’s why, when I heard of the solid trust you have in the Master Jesus and your outpouring of love to all the followers of Jesus, I couldn’t stop thanking God for you — every time I prayed, I’d think of you and give thanks.” -Ephesians 1:15-16 (MSG)
